Last week we had a contest where you were asked to write a clever sentence using our sponsors name “Sticker Robot.” We got a lot of fun entries but after going through all of them we picked this lucky winner:  Hey Sticker Robot, I’m a stickler for stickers and know how to pick um, and unlike stamps there’s no need to lick um. Bam!

Jose Lerma‘s work borders between 17th century noble portraiture and wild abstractionism. Unlike his college teachings at the University of Wisconsin-Madison he works outside of the box with heavy brush strokes and massive amounts of paint. Which adds another dimension to his work: texture. Lerma also dabbled in political science and law and an MFA in painting, he is an internationally exhibiting artist with shows in Berlin, Korea, New York, Belgium, and Italy, Puerto Rico, and Houston. Imagination comes to life with Yeondoo Jung‘s Wonderland series. He takes children’s illustrations and re-creates them in staged photographs. Some are incredibly spot-on accurate, while others had some creative tweaking added to complete the image. All in all it made for a unique series of images we wont soon forget.
