Lisa Hanawalt just may be my new favorite artist. She is a cartoonist and illustrator living in Brooklyn, New York. I love how she takes the mundane and puts a grotesque spin on it.

A straight acid trip. Broken Fingaz Crew has captured the eye with their vibrant, colorful, in your face artwork. Infused with artful humor, I chuckled at some pieces as my eyes were immersed in this cauldron of comic book style color. “Our dreams are your nightmares”; a tagline that speaks volumes about their work.
Kids Play Hard. Adults Play Harder.
The following series of photos are apart of an ad-campaign for Italian Based shoe firm, Luciano Carvari. Using these playfully surrealistic images, the photographer feeds off the wacky, bold, and daring styles of the shoes to create an intense visual. When viewing the photographs for the first time there is an obvious juxtaposition between child’s play and adult situations. The role reversal captures your attention and never lets it go.

Dear “Psychedelic” Artists: It takes more than neon paint and a strategically placed black light to blow one’s mind. Just ask Larry Carlson, visionary multi media artist! I would describe Carlson’s work as Magritte and Dali’s love child if such a child were conceived after the advent of Photoshop. Beautiful yet jarring, welcoming yet otherworldly, Carlson’s work is a true feast for the eye.
