The French really do design the heck out of home goods! Moustache is another French design firm designing some of the most exciting new chairs and home items around. And like any new artist they reference the important works that came before them enough to seem familiar, while adding their own touch to make it feel brand new. And using a Versaille’s-like setting for their campaign? Pretty brilliant.

Indonesian pixel pusher Agan Harahap’s photographs that juxtapose images of super heroes into vintage wartime  historical photographs are down right amazing!  These images are so well made that I’m starting to really believe that  batman was a commie!

Andrew Clark’s illustrations have a beautiful vintage feel to them. I’m not positive about this but I believe most are made with colored pencils which give them a slightly faded quality that is brilliant in a world of neon colors and digital pixels.

Nils Karsten probes memories of childhood and adolescence to combine iconic images from pop culture, early British and New York punk, revolution (Baader-Meinhof), war (Vietnam) and even alien invasion with surreal and fantastic utopian vistas. The artist approaches these themes in several distinct ways, each influenced by his proximate relationship with the music and social upheaval of the 1960s and 70s.
