Kyle Thomas is wrapping up the last hundred or so covers. He’s taking his time with the last batch as we’ve had to have our loyal interns massage his hands back into working condition after the hundreds of hours that he’s already spent drawing each and every cover! Thank you to everyone who came out to the book signing/release party of Book 1! We were lucky to have three of our featured artists, Ben Tegel, David Jien and Kyle Thomas customizing each and every cover of Beautiful/Decay with an original piece of artwork. There were even some collaborative, exquisite corpse style drawings between the three artists! It was great to meet all of the artists, designers and Beautiful/Decay fans that attended. Here are more freshly drawn covers for Book 1: Supernaturalism for your viewing pleasure! As you’ve read, Kyle Thomas has been crankin’ them out, and we thought we’d let our mascot Ziggy model a few (or twenty-six)!

Kyle has been busy drawing over 200 covers per day. It’s mind boggling to think that he has so many images stored in his head. Kyle has been going at it nonstop but judging by the covers pictured above his brain is feeling like mush after back to back 12 hour marathons of drawing. I’m happy to announce that subscriptions will be going out tomorrow. It’s a few days later than we had planned but I think we were off on our math as to how long each book cover would take. Below are a selection of covers from the last few days.

Three months ago we approached long time B/D contributor Kyle Thomas to hand draw every single copy (1,500 total) of Beautiful/Decay’s Book: 1. Much to our surprise, Kyle quickly agreed and simply said “Bring it on!”

Last night at 6pm, we received the shipment of books and Kyle began the monumental task of creating 1,500 distinct works of art. The video above documents his stream of conscious supernatural drawing style. He’s currently holed up in the Beautiful/Decay offices drawing non stop during the whole work day! Based on his current pace he will complete all the covers by Tuesday July 14th, which is also the cut off date to reserve your copy. So make sure to subscribe today to ensure you get a copy of this one of a kind book.
