Protey Temen is a Russian artist exploring so-called “visual environmental saturation” since 2004.
I love his adolescent style subject matter- vanquished knights, valient steeds, Russian spies, Metallica, candy-hoarding dragons. These are totally your 8th great notebook, but way more next level. He calls his project “dobrotarizm,” roughly translated to “happytalism”….focusing on positive reactions among human feelings and their manipulation. Does this guy study with a guru? I don’t know. He is also pretty much the visual manifestation of his artwork, which I always like.
