Los Angeles based photographer Mark Escribano’s portfolio covers a wide array of subject matter from provocative nudes to strange mustached dudes.
Finally, something I can understand! Pierre-Paul Pariseau creates art for the upper echelon of intellectuals including us interns who are blessed with gigantic brains. Featured in tons of magazines including isthmus, Extra, the Wall Street Journal and I could’ve sworn I saw some of this in the Jefferton Daily Examiner . Hey, can you hang? This shit is on the cusp.
The above picture is documentation of Stefan Benchoams 2008 installation Ejercicio de Dibujo at the XVI Paiz Biennial in Guatemala City.
I wish I knew this artist’s real name so I didn’t have to refer to her by her Flickr moniker…but this will have to do for now. The paintings are a little bit too Asian-American (is that a genre?) for my taste…and I feel like maybe I can make this claim because I am a fair representation, but the colors are definitely eye-catching. And I like how auto-biographical the paintings feel.
Thanks to everyone that came out to the Beautiful/Decay & Insight 51 sample sale on Friday and Saturday. Both days were filled with eager shoppers who were anxious to get a good deal and hang with us for two sun drenched california days. Here are some highlights …
Everyone loves a good sample sale where one can find those rare one off samples that you can’t get in stores. Apparently Cousin It got wind of it and came through to find the perfect surfin safari outfit.
This showreel is made of a selection of projects done by freelance designer Giovanni Bucci over the last few years. The audio track is a blended/synthesis of flavours from the latest productions of Marco Morano, which include dirty electro, over compressed grooves, classical atmospheres and re-built sound effects.
After experimenting and researching how audio can influence and inspire video and viceversa, they have worked out a personal formula. Instead of working audio and video separately, as it is common practice in the media industry, every draft of the video editing was followed by an audio adjustment in a way that both authors could get influenced by the work of the other, until they felt that an harmonious final edit was achieved.
