French artist Michael Schouflikir’s work revolves the daily struggles we have with technology & modern human condition. Basically, the condition of our machines and nature that becomes more and more machine-like. We’re beat out and attacked by overgrown plants, take escalators towards our certain future of decapitation, and develop USB flash drives as bones. But don’t we kind of like it?

I cant promise that this page will provide you with all the answers, but it begins with a poem that put my entire, boring life into depressing context. Scanwiches is a project started by Jon Chonko, a New York based designer. The quality of the images of these sandwiches is really incredible, and always leaves me hungry. This project at first glance seems so simplistic and childish, but it really brings up quite an important concept: sometimes the everyday item that we take for granted can be very beautiful and artistic.
Over 4700 wild animals were admitted as sick or injured in the city of Toronto last year. This may seem like a steep number for a town of less than 3 million. One might ask themselves if there might be other intentions involved in creating this statistic.

While in Dubai & Sharjah I had the chance to see some amazing arabic and persian calligraphy. If you’ve ever been into typography or graffiti you will surely walk away from this region with a renewed appreciation for the amazing calligraphy you find around every corner.
