Emily Noelle Lambert
I love Emily Noelle Lambert’s palette- it’s like Wayne Thiebaud’s pastel pastilles and tiers of cupcake glazes applied with the loose, graceful grime and grit of German Expressionist paint handling. Sweet but not overly so. If you are in NYC, her show opens at Priska Juschka Fine Art tomorrow night, Nov. 5th.

i really like the last two paintings. Not so sure about the sculpture.
I went and saw this show the other day, it is really good. The paintings are fairly large, maybe 8 feet tall, and the sculpture has a lot of presence in the room. The press release said it was about ancient Rome, sculpture in the Vatican, Orgasm, and the stillness of death.
