Cédric Bouvard, code name Virassamy, has so many drawings that he should publish a book. It would be a nice heavy brick of a book, too, full of strangeness and colors, not unlike the back of your high school notebook.

Jesse Wiedel, who studied in San Francisco at the Art Institute, has an interesting outlook on life. His paintings focus on what he calls “fictionalized tableaus that are sad, coarse and degenerate.” These “streetscapes” depict street culture for what it is: weird, sad, fascinating and for some of us, alien.

Maurizio Anzeri, who is quite hard to find on the web, takes wonderful old portraits and turns them into something extraordinary. Embroidering with a multitude of colors and math-class-like shapes, Anzeri embellishes these images, creating textural works of awesomeness.

After a long day in front of a computer pushing pixels and designing stuff the last thing I want to do is stare at a treadmill ticking off the minutes. I prefer group activities like yoga, pilates, the bar method, etc. And let’s face it, at typical gym these classes consist of wannabe actors phoning in a tired, repetitive routine until they force you to stop taking their class. On the other hand buying a series of classes at a yoga studio can run you $200 or more a month… what if you get bored of down dogs several times a week?
That’s where Equinox comes in, all of their classes are included in their membership fees so you have the pick of the litter: cycling, yoga, pilates, kick boxing, bar method- you name it. And the classes are plenty challenging, the Cardio Burn class had me running to grab a eucalyptus infused cold towel to keep from passing out. There’s so much to choose from, it leaves no time for boredom. And when you consider how much variety you have, the membership fee is a bargain. Curious? You may be wondering if we here at Beautiful/Decay are mustache friendly. Why yes, yes we are. Super Intern Mike Hahn not only sported an irreverently dashing upper lip duster during his entire stay here at Beautiful/Decay, but graced us with tawdry tales of his mustachioed musings all while helping us at the office here with the..how you say…joie de vivre pictured above! Yes, he really wore button downs, pastel argyle sweater vests, candy striper twill Bermuda summer shorts, Dockers boating shoes and an American flag cape each day to work! Thank you for all your hard work here Mike, we will miss you as clean shaven face misses the warmth of a well manicured ‘stache in the dead of a Minnesota winter! Young Young Wun transforms newspapers, advertisements, handbills, and other media paper goods into these monstrously distorted caricatures. (Above, in case you can’t tell, is Lady Gaga) They remind me of pinatas in the way they take pop cultural stars, Spiderman, Homer, Elvis or other mass-produced icons and turn them to cheap tzotschkes, frightening and hilarious in their new forms.

My Chopsticks Bra: Enables a user to store foldable compact chopsticks in a side pocket. The bra is designed with bowls of rice and hot miso soup.
Speaking of boobs, Japanese lingerie company Triumph unveiled its Make-The-Putt Bra today. Triumph creates two novelty bras each year, typically centered on important issues in Tokyo. In the past, some have involved solar panels, miso soup, voting and baseball. Take a look at all of them on Huffington Post and make a vote to which you think are best and which are a bust (haha…)!
