Beautiful/Decay interns will provide critical support to our three person team of staff. Applicant should be extremely organized, detail oriented, personable, punctual, able to rise to the challenge of coordinating and prioritizing multiple projects, and open to the wide ranging demands of our multi-faceted business that deals in the publishing, art and the fashion world. Prospective candidates should be adept in anticipating the needs of this fast-paced environment, and able to complete tasks in both an expedient and thorough fashion.
The intern will receive invaluable knowledge, first-hand experience and insight into the creative world, in particular the magazine publishing industry, apparel and art & design.
Responsibilities will include:
-Generally assisting with office duties, including, but not limited to:
Faxing, filing, photocopying, organizing documents, mail distribution, shipping, maintenance of files; record storage/disposal and other similar tasks
-Acting as receptionist to incoming guests and directing phone calls
-Locating, compiling, and organizing information
-Assisting the PR department through maintenance of social networking sites & helping with news & creative content of Beautiful/Decay related sites.
-Assisting with special events, fashion events & release parties.
Exceptional interns will be administered greater responsibility & creative tasks based on their performance and willingness to learn.
Commitment minimum of two days a week for a three month period.
Interns must live in the Los Angeles area and have their own transportation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and excel
Experience or basic command of Adobe Photoshop
