Patrick Nagel was a Los Angeles based artists whose work strongly resembles that of the japanese woodblock and art deco styles.
His work became most popular when he did a large amount of illustrations for Playboy Magazine. His posters have been collected by such prestigious institutions as the Library of Congress, the Oakland Museum, and the Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts at U.C.L.A.
