Eric Shaw creates fractal-filled cosmic psychedelic drawings and paintings that takes both abstraction and figuration to strange, surreal new levels. We’ve actually had the pleasure of doing an in-depth interview with him on the B/D site last year, so it was great to catch up with him! Just a few days away ’til “Art Works Every Time,” and we can’t wait!
Describe your aesthetic.
Loud Colors, Exciting positions, i’m an aesthete.
Describe the works you have in the upcoming “Art Works Every Time” exhibition?
These works are tenderfoot absractish paintings of figures often standing on two legs observing something or someone. My style has a “webelo” feel.
Words of advice for other artists, designers, creatives?
Just do you and don’t let anything stop you, babe.
Check Eric’s work out in person at the “Art Works Every Time” exhibition, opening June 12th at Synchronicity Gallery, from 8pm-11pm.
