Matthew Cusick is a collage artist. Born in New York, he now lives and works in Dallas, Texas. He uses all kinds of media for his work, one which I found interesting is maps! If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at Beautiful/Decay, then this is for you! A Day In Decay is a new ongoing column that will be appearing on the site penned by yours truly. I’ll be documenting our day to day shenanigans, daily life in the arts district of downtown LA, the ups and downs of running an indie publishing and apparel line and other things of interest both in and out of our office. Some posts will be related directly to what we do ( like photos of our office/neighborhood) and some posts will have nothing to do with art or design (like photos of my scuba diving instructor after the jump). Mezzetty’s images draw on everything that was good about the seventies, like Patti Smith and Polaroids, and injects it into each and every one of their dreamy photographs. Those stoic babes and fuzzy lenses are like squinting into the sun on the last day of summer, often bittersweet, but always beautiful.
Max Maslansky is a tricky fellow who seems to believe in longshots. His images caress a romantic past, the voyeuristic present, and a violent future. Each image seems to shake with exerted candor, while holding your hand and telling you things will be okay.

Cyriak Harris is an artist living in Brighton. He makes splendid videos that remind me of the sensation of sugar on my tongue. I feel the urge to push and push, but each video tells me to sit down and understand that “everything is going to be okay.”
Imp Kerr & Associates is an insightful fiend living in New York City. She collects large amounts of intriguing bits on The New Shelton Wet/Dry and seems to enjoy grinding modern culture into a fine paste that she applies any where she feels like.
