This is probably the best short film I have ever seen using only a camera phone. Director Thomas Hilland was asked to make the most out of Nokia N8′s smartphone camera. If the quality of the film doesn’t do it for you, I know I especially enjoyed the rotund men running around in costumes, battling each other with remote controlled dragonflies. Music was by the British band, Kap Bambino.

Massachusetts based artist Sydney Hardin’s work questions the relationship between the female gender and the media and asks the viewer why over simplified representations of female sexuality are aimed at male and female consumers alike.  I am really enjoying her work, not to mention the name of her website! Crumb‘s work at some point or another so it only makes sense to keep things in the family and post Sophie’s mother, Alina Kominsky Crumb‘s work as well. The three of them put together make a trifecta of underground comics and illustrative genius.
