Uk based designer and illustrator Drew Turner’s illustrations look into our evolution through time and space. They depict the psychological differences found between ourselves and present day organisms. With a shroud of mystery over other lifeforms, they are a visual reflection of our greater ability to imagine and argue a question of thought towards an animal as a conscious being.

come on! traingles, wild animals, cosmic space – theses appealing motives had been used so often in the last couple of years… It’s not that i just don’t like it, or that it doesn’t speak to my aesthetics – these tricks are totally exploited right now. What’s more frustrating that something visually attractive and wordy but completely unoriginal?
(i really hope this project is a sarcastic comment on “triangles in space” trend. please tell me it’s just a joke)
The use of geometric shapes really adds a lot to the concept of the work- combining these organic organisms with harsher line speaks to the ever present discussion about animals as cognizant beings. Such beautiful depicitons.
@ Allie- WTF!!!
I agree with EM completely. You could cut the cheesy redundancy with a spork.
@ Allie Doersch – Are you kidding me? This is fantastic work. From my perspective geometric shapes have a lot to do with D.M.T. I believe that this work is showing that animals are conscious beings. THEY PRODUCE D.M.T! If you’ve never experienced Diomethyltriptamine than clearly YOU WOULDN’T UNDERSTAND. Expanding your mind is not overplayed nor should you frown upon it. :p
Correction @ ALLIE – YOU’RE COOL, BUT THESE OTHER PEOPLE ARE NO GOD. IF YOU DON’T HAVE HATERS THEN YOU MUST BE DOING SOMETHING WRONG. LET THEM HATE AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK KIDDO
ART IS FUCKING EXPRESSION!
