Seattle based Charles Krafft has spent decades creating gorgeous porcelain sculptures referencing everything from war to pop culture. In this short documentary hear Charles describe his inspirations, process, and his use of human bone china to memorialize friends.

    I remember seeing his work at the DiRT Gallery back in the mid 90′s for the first time, and it blew me away.

    His technique and subject matter have stayed pretty much the same, but it’s still fresh. One of the few. Maybe that’s cause the world of politics and power suck just as bad, or worse, now as back then?

    Add Krafft with Bob Arneson and Ray Beldner and you have a trifecta of post modern counter culture social commentary sculpture. Anyone working in 3D today cannot deny them.
