What can I say, I love dessert! Apparently painter Mary Ellen Johnson does too. Johnson creates deliciously realistic paintings of ice cream sundaes, banana splits, gooey cheesecake and all sorts of other yummy paintings that stirs visceral and psychological impulses. These paintings evoke nostalgia, and an intrinsic yearning for gratification. The food communicates a visual language that crosses the barriers of different cultures for food is a universal experience. It also makes me very hungry.(via sharesomecandy)
