Mildred & Pacolli

I recently stumbled upon this seriously amazing artist duo, Mildred & Pacolli.  Their work is AWESOME!  I love it. They recently had an exhibition at the Lower Haters gallery in San Francisco called WE ARE US.  You should check out some of their work!

Daphne Arthur

arthur-el-juego-del-tra-tra-09-dims-var Daphne Arthur explores religious expression and cultural identity through her mixed media design. It is in Arthur’s work where the two dimensional meets the three dimensional.  You can catch a look at her work at New York City’s RARE Gallery exhibit lasting from October 14th through November 11th.

Marcel van Eeden

-1 I am really enjoying Marcel van Eeden’s work.  I am particularly amused by his A Cutlet Vauderville Show in which he depicts two pieces of meat performing song.  Marcel van Eeden was born in 1956 in The Hague, Netherlands.

Bette Burgoyne

Dreams Are What Dreams Are Made Of Using only white pencil and black paper, Bette Burgoyne creates nature inspired illustrations in the form of whispy white lines.  Although dark and mysterious, her work is really beautiful.

Jane Benson

dandyfucked_5comp I am really enjoying Jane Benson’s work.  One series in particular of hers I find to be quite intriguing; The Chronicles of Narcissim. Its narrative takes a closer look at people’s preoccupation with material and identity transformation as well as the tension that exists between both the natural and the artificial form of beauty.  Benson was born in Thornbury, England and lives in both London and New York.
