Lisa Hanawalt is an artist working out of Los Angeles. Being from the Midwest, the clothing and textile patterns remind me of mah hood or makes me want to be a farm land hipster. Either one.
Her work also reminded me of the saying, ”you are what you eat.”
While conducting top secret research for B/D, I came across this now out of print tarot deck by furry/artist Joe Rosales. Im not saying that the world needs more Hello Kitty stuff, but the feline adaptations of the traditional Rider-Waite tarot deck worth checking out.
Beautiful/Decay has teamed up with By Osmosis TV once again to mix words with one of our favorite artists Aaron Noble. Aaron is a long time collaborator with Beautiful/Decay Magazine and Beautiful/Decay Apparel, and is featured in Beautiful/Decay’s AtoZ gallery show at the Kopeikin Gallery.
Recently, while doing some top-secret research for Beautiful/Decay, I ran across Suzanne Treister’s new series entitled “Alchemy”. They’re ink drawings transcribing the front page of daily newspapers into Alchemical style manuscripts.

Benjamin Phillip’s is an illustrator/poet/music man working out of Brighton, England. His work is a mixed bag of wizadry, sad children, wicked cool parties, and leaves. His illustrations all have an underlined witty sense of humor that seems very unique and bizarre.
I threw up in my mouth a little bit while I was watching this. Phil Hansons work conjures up all the reasons I no longer dine with 6 year olds. Dont think I wouldnt understand if you disagreed with me. Sure, its art. Its also the reason why the rest of the world hates us, right? The only rewarding thing about this video as far as Im concerned is that awesome little dog, who must’ve been convinced that day that he could control people with his thoughts.
Oh yeah. One more thing. Its an Arbys Commercial. Consumerism has now officially penetrated every orifice of my daily life. Boo
