Ever been caught with your pants down? LG’s new video Stage Fright- So Real It’s Scary, set out to do just that. LG’s new video is a followup to their 2012 viral hit “So Real It’s Scary,” in which elevator passengers got the scare of their life when the floor started to disintegrate before their eyes.
LG’s new video once again begs the question, is LG’s new IPS picture quality is so high it can fool the human eye? In their new video, it seems so, as they surprise men with with a realistic game of peeping tom on LG’s IPS 21:9 UltraWide monitors installed in an otherwise normal seeming men’s restroom.
Our friends over at Lost At E Minor have just launched their sleek new site. We at B/D know all the hard work that goes into a site re-design and we’re loving LAEM’s new look. When you cover visual content it’s important to let the images shine and that’s just what LAEM’s redesign does. You can read about their redesign process here and go check out their new site.
I’m happy to present second installment of photographs from our amazing European trip with our friends over at Royal Talens And Canson. If you remember we started our trip in Paris and made our way over to Amsterdam, stopping along the way to check out all the museums, galleries, and sights that each city offered.
We started our first day in Amsterdam with a boat tour of the canals to get acquainted with the many tiny streets and canals that zig zag throughout the city. Along the way we saw many amazing examples of dutch architecture, design, street art and of course Houseboats!
Beautiful/Decay and Mr. Chiizu would like to thank all of you who entered our giveway. We wish we could give away products to all of you but in the end only one lucky person made the cut! A big round of congratulations to our winner Irit Caspi who won our Skwak prize pack complete with a B/D Skwak shirt, artist print, and a copy of our Archive book!
A few weeks ago we featured Mr. Chiizu’s two new themes from Skwak and Aya Kato. Mr. Chiizu, an iPhone photo decoration app with themes designed by today’s most exciting artists and designers wants to give Beautiful/Decay readers a chance to win some coveted and sold out Aya Kato and Skwak merchandise in honor of the release of their packs.
Aya Kato’s illustrations suck you into her world of star-crossed lovers, intergalactic space travel and art deco reverie on first contact. As a Beautiful/Decay cover artist on long since sold out Issue K, her posters, t-shirts and books have been amongst the most sought after the publication has produced. We spot her Mermaid shirt on fans at least once a month. She recently teamed up with Mr. Chiizu, an artist’s decoration iPhone app that gives art and illustration lovers a chance to get inside works of their favorite artists. She was a natural choice for a Mr. Chiizu collaboration, giving fans a chance to step into her rich fantasy world. Her theme has been flying off the iTunes store shelves since its release earlier this week.
If you’ve followed Beautiful/Decay you know that Skwak has collaborated with us dozens of times creating apparel, posters, gallery exhibitions and most importantly his wildly popular cover story in Beautiful/Decay Issue J . One of his most exciting new projects is his collaboration with our friends over at Mr. Chiizu, an artist’s photo decoration iphone app. He signed on with Mr. Chiizu earlier this year to create a theme that lets his fans get inside his always funny and sometimes grotesque illustrious world. Skwak’s signature style lent themselves well to the photo frames and stickers he created for his theme. We caught up with Skwak to see what he has been up to.
