Hey guys- we haven’t run a contest in a while because we were holding out for something that would really benefit our readers! Well, here’s a contest that will put cold, hard cash in your pockets as well as further your creative careers. We’re offering the opportunity to win $1000.45, as well as be featured in a month-long exhibition at Synchronicity Gallery here in Los Angeles. The event will be curated and promoted by yours truly and the directors there. Synchronicity is quickly becoming a go-to gallery for discovering & breaking emerging artists! Ahh….fame and fortune, who doesn’t need the extra wads of cash and bragging rights? Only a few more weeks to win both for Beautiful/Decay and Talenthouse’s – shirt competition! There have been some great entries so far- so keep ‘em comin!
May I remind you that the winner receives a whopping $1000 cash prize and the fame of having their design featured & promoted on Talenthouse.com and printed on a T-shirt!
The design is completely open to your interpretation and can be as creative as possible, as long as it includes the Talenthouse logo in some way. You can create any style of graphic of your choosing—the logo can be either a small element within the overall design, or you can focus on the logo in a new creative way.

Plywerk Your Work Contest Winners!

Trashed Bag = New Bag Contest Winners!
Okay, ladies. You can stop sending us pictures of your bags now. The Trashed Bag = New Bag contest has closed and we officially have a winner! Thanks to all who entered, and sorry to those who didn’t win. We feel bad for you and your gross bags. There was, however, one bag that was the most pathetic, disgusting excuse for a bag ever…

Plywerk Your Work
Beautiful/Decay is calling all artist and designers! We are teaming up with Plywerk to offer one talented person the opportunity to get their own artwork printed and mounted on a 12″ X 12″ environmentally friendly bamboo Plywerk panel worth $63.
Submit your artwork to our B/D Flickr Pic Pool (become a member first) and after all the artwork as been submitted, we will choose the most interesting piece as the winner. Artwork may be submitted in any medium, so long as it is scanned or in some digital format.
Deadline: August 25th, 2009 @ 6:00pm PST
Guidelines:
- Join the B/D Flickr group if you haven’t already and submit to our Flickr group pool
- Title your work with “Plywerk Contest Art” after uploading it so we will know to count it for the contest
- Any genre of artwork is acceptable but it must be in some digital format (scanned or photographed)

Giveaway: Trashed Bag = New Bag!
The submissions for our recent trashed bag = new bag trade out competition have been rolling in! There are some definite janky hole-ridden totes around, ladies. In case you haven’t heard, Beautiful/Decay and Moop are giving away one Market Bag, which features tons of pouches, d-rings for cell phones and keys, zipper pockets and more. All you have to do is send a photo of your wrecked purse (you can get creative and make one as well, like we did). Most horrifically un-stylish bag will get swapped out with a new one in any color of your choice, ’cause, we’ll probably feel sorry for you.
