Cassie Ramone is most recognized as the front woman and lead axe shredder of the Brooklyn based lo-fi garage rockers the Vivian Girls. She is also perpetually working on and exhibiting new drawings, paintings, t-shirts, and zines. “Shitty Reality’” is an ongoing tour diary of sorts that is chock full of her endearing interpretations of popular cartoons, notes and scrawlings from the road, and various snap shots and collages from hours spent traveling the contiguous United States of America.
This is just a small sampling of 500 drawings by San Francisco based artist Mitsu Okubo exploring sexual oddities and narratives. Mitsu has also put together a collection of the drawings into a book available for purchase through his site.
Hernan Paganini is a graphic designer/interior designer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a child, Paganini would collect objects he randomly found on the streets. As time went by, those objects became the inspiration for most of his work. He now teaches at the Public University of Buenos Aires, where he also graduated from.
Robert Tirado describes his artworks as “consequence to the experience of traditional art techniques, which sometimes gives it a perfect balance between the particular look of digital work and the expression of real life painting” This up-and-coming artist explores an array of different mediums for his illustrations. AEI.UO is his new experimental project that puts together digital illustration, painting and graphic design, which intends to “break through with patterns in so-called digital art.” Tirado also has an upcoming solo show in Valencia, Spain at La Booktique Del Diseño on June 18th! So if you so just so happen to be in Spain on June 18th check it out! His work is definitely something I would want to check out in person.

Danish-born Erik A. Frandsen has studied ceramics, sculpture, and graphics in many locations including Greece, Italy, and France. But now Frandsen resides in his native country of Denmark, where he has created many installations that intertwine many different components. His work is known for being created in multiple layers. There is the layer that are appealing to the viewer at first and then repel the viewer after a second glance. The construction of his installations happen when he combines a drawing or a piece on canvas with lights, rubber tires, or boxes. And in one piece he even uses butter.
Shannon Freshwater is interested in the mysterious and unknown, and finds inspiration in her own fears of death, decay, ghosts,vortexes, and various other natural and supernatural events.
