Maxwell Loren Holyoke-Hirsch

megarealm56 Not only does he have the COOLEST name ever, but illustrator extraordinaire Maxwell Loren Holyoke-Hirsch also happens to be one of my favorite artists.  I am so inspired by his work and so excited to be blogging about him.  Check out his work after the jump!

Julien Langendorff

JulienLangendorff

I am really enjoying Julien Langendorff’s work.  At first glance you might suspect that his art is created by Adobe Illustrator but indeed you are wrong. I was thoroughly impressed to discover that Langendorff’s work is created by hand! His use of color creates gothic scenes with psychedelic twists by combining vibrant paper cut-outs in contrast with dark figures.  Langendorff’s work can be seen numerous galleries in NYC, Paris, Berlin, and Australia.

Adam Levene

-2

Columbus, Ohio based Illustrator, Adam Levene, graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design with a BFA, and attended Illustration Academy for an extended study. His illustrations have a very classic style to them with a very strong sense of narration. Out of everything of his work, I really enjoyed his portraitures. Not only is he consistently generous in story, but character as well.

Sam Green

dv2084043

Sam Green’s illustrations are a collage of the best of traditional skill and digital embellishments. Though he does often combine two different worlds together (traditional vs. digital, realistic vs. contorted, and serene vs. avant garde,) they are all held together by his consistently fluid style.

Stunning work by the artist Roya Hamburger.

More abstract work after the jump.

Jason Holley

biggie

Los Angeles based illustrator Jason Holley creates beautiful illustrations that often resemble intricate, old-timey medical drawings but with a certain twist. His illustrations have a sense of decay, as if he attaches the age of these styles onto his work as well. It appears dirty, but the close attention to detail, space, and color really pulls his work into something gorgeous.

I had Jason Holley as a teacher of mine over at Art Center College of Design. He wasn’t an easy professor, but that is because he really pushes us to pass our established potential. He is an amazing person to learn from.

Phil Hale

hake_playboy

Phil Hale, a London based illustrator, knows what to do. His illustrations are incredibly rich with disjointed movement, explosive energy, and raw masculinity that which all combines into an overwhelming visit to drama itself.

Peter Bowen

SKULL FACE

Peter Bowen, a London based illustrator, creates detailed works that carry a whole lot of raw energy and humor. A wide range of influences put a hand into his work, as he derives inspiration from lowbrow counter-culture to dense Victorian engravings.
