Rose Eken’s Miniature cardboard Guitars And Drum Kits Rock!

Danish artist Rose Eken’s miniature drum kits and guitars are tiny monuments to rock and roll. With over a 100 drum kits and 100 guitars made out of cardboard and arranged in neat grids, these miniature objects are delicately made by hand showing Eken’s fascination, adoration, and passion both for the music and for the people who make it. Like a true music junky Rose Eken has created the ultimate shrine to rock music with replicas of every rock legends instrument from Jimi Hendrix’s guitar to John Bonham’s drum kit.

Brad Elterman epic photographs of rock n’ roll History

Not only was Brad Elterman always present at the right time and the right place, but he also has a story to tell about every moment he captured with his camera. From nearly getting beaten up by Robert Plant’s roadies for getting a shot of the singer in his briefs playing soccer, to the moment Joan Jett flicked him off and thus allowed him to get one of the most quintessential late 1970’s images of rock n’ roll. He’s still shooting like crazy and if you follow him on Tumblr, where he’s quite the sensation, you can check out all of his great photos of yesterday as well as today. Brad Elterman’s photographs will also be on display at Kana Manglapus Gallery in Venice Beach from June 28th – September 10th.

Tabor Robak

imageeconomy

I usually don’t really get down with designers who nostalgically embrace the bad/vernacular design of their 80s/90s youths, but I have to admit that I’m liking this stuff by Tabor Robak. If I had to try to describe his aesthetic, I’d probably say it’s the visual equivalent of a guitar solo. Maybe a guitar solo while wearing sunglasses, on a huge arena stage with a ton of pyrotechnics.
