We Have Band- You Came Out
An amazing video for We Have Band’s song “You Came Out” created from 4,816 still images! Not a single moment was used to make this mini masterpiece. If you don’t believe me just take a look at their Flickr page to view all the hi res images that were used to create the video. Directed by David Wilson in collaboration with Fabian Berglund and Ida Gronblom from Wieden + Kennedy.

Murray John
“Goodbye London” is the new music video from Luke Jackson, directed and animated by London-based animator Murray John. It combines stop motion photography of London with some nice hand-drawn animation added with After Effects. “I set out to capture the bitter sweetness of London life, using urban sketchy drawings on walls,” says Mr. John.

Wolf & Pig stop motion
Really clever and adorable (!!) stop motion video about a wolf who wants to eat a pig… the whole thing is constructed of photos in developed film, involving multiple mediums and layers of reality. Kind of meta-meta. Also, last I saw it was in the popular section of saved bookmarks on Delicious!

Sweet Dreams – Kristen Lepore
Kristen Lepore’s Sweet Dreams is fun, long, labor intensive stop motion about food. Discovered during WFMU’s broadcast of SXSW a while back.

Fleet Foxes – White Winter Hymnal
I was following the pack
all swallowed in their coats
with scarves of red tied ’round their throats
to keep their little heads
from fallin’ in the snow
And I turned ’round and there you go
And, Michael, you would fall
and turn the white snow red as strawberries
in the summertime…
Love it.
Also check out the BD interview of Sean Pecknold, the creator of the music video.
