I’ve been a fan of Dinosaur Jr. since I was 12 years old so it’s awesome to see that the bands frontman J Mascis has released a solo album on Sub Pop of folky acoustic songs that will satisfy the biggest Dinosaur Jr. fan while giving J enough room to musically branch out. If that’s not enough the trippy stop-motion video for the single Not Enough will keep your eyeballs popping while your head is nodding. In Andy Kennedy‘s Accumulonimbus, natural and man-made objects on a spin cycle accumulate, disintegrate, and multiply. Created by stop motion animating clay on glass, the film is a meditation on motion and the life cycle of matter… Awesome! Check out the making of post here.

A while back, we posted Takeuchi Taijin’s amazing Wolf & Pig stop motion animation. His latest clip for Olympus PEN Giant follows a young man navigating an urban city-scape in a similar stop-motion journey through 355 stunning photographs printed billboard size! No tricks or computer animation…just good old fashioned hard work. Check it out!

An amazing video for We Have Band‘s song “You Came Out” created from 4,816 still images! Not a single moment was used to make this mini masterpiece. If you don’t believe me just take a look at their Flickr page to view all the hi res images that were used to create the video. Directed by David Wilson in collaboration with Fabian Berglund and Ida Gronblom from Wieden + Kennedy.
