I’ve been following the work of Copenhagen based artist Tal R for over a decade and it blows me away how timeless and exciting his works are. He is one of the few painters working today that continuously experiments and shifts his technique and work without ever losing his distinct style.
Victoria Miro Gallery will present the latest body of work by Danish artist Tal R. From 2005 to 2008, in his dynamic studio christened ‘Palace’, Tal R has extended his practice to integrate the fields of dance, film, theatre, cabaret, music and fashion. The works from armes de chine are deeply rooted in this period of intense experimentation.
Tal R creates works that look like Picasso doing some heavy psychedelics in an insane asylum. I love the one of a kid passed out in his teenage bedroom.
